This is a case of a 58 year old female with a 10 year old upper denture not relined for so many years. The denture being made with porcelain denture teeth caused the abrasion of the lower teeth. This denture is the reason also why this patient developed an Epulis Fissuratum in the maxillary vestibule because of it being loose.
In the treatment plan, what I did was surgically removed the Epulis and let it heal for a month. After which prepared the lower teeth for receive porcelain fused to metal crowns to bring back the real vertical dimension of the patient.
Lastly, I delivered a new single upper complete denture with acrylic teeth and for the lower arch, delivered a new removable partial denture.
