Pacient E. C. V. C., 26 years, presented with a conoid lateral incisor with a failed composite veneer and agenesis of the other lateral incisor. After orthodontic therapy, a diagnostic model was taken and a CT scan was performed to aid implant placement.
A 3.3 x 12 NC bone level SLActive implant (Straumann AG, Basel, Switzerland) was placed. A zirconia IPS e.max (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Liechtenstein) abutment was selected and placed and a temporary crown manufactured. In order to increase the bucal volume of soft tissue, a roll soft tissue graft was performed (SCHARF and TARNOW, 1992)
After the osseintegration period, the other lateral incisor was prepared for a ceramic veneer and impression was taken with a polivinilsiloxane elastomeric material (Silagum, DMG gmbH, Hamburg. Germany). An In Ceram Alumina crown and a feldspatic veneer (VITA VM 13 – Vita Zahnfabrik, Bad Sackingen, Germany) were manufactured an cemented.
After 4 months post operative, there is a satisfactoty outcome of both restorations.
All clinical, surgery and ceramic procedures were performed by the author.
