As dentists and smile designers, every day we encounter patients that are not satisfied with their smiles and, most of the times they are not certain with what troubles them. To identify the dissonances in the patients face related not only to the teeth but also with her or his face, it is mandatory to perform a detailed analysis of the patients face. In some occasions, we find patients with malformations of dento-facial growth and they are, therefor, skeletal cases. Many patients do not want or cannot afford an ideal treatment as a surgical or orthodontic correction, which would be the case o’f this patient. In this case, the reason of her consultation was the attempt t mend her smile. After explaining which would be the suitable treatment treatment for her, she recounts her economic limitations and feras of a orthognatic surgery.
She is suggested smile harmonization following certain guidelines, like arranging the position of the upper lip together with the placing of final veneers.
With this treatment we achieved something vert important that is the return of the patients self esteem.
